Areas of Expertise
Brachytherapy
High-dose-rate brachytherapy for cervical, endometrial, and prostate cancers, delivering radiation directly to the tumor with maximum sparing of healthy tissue.
SBRT & Radiosurgery
Stereotactic radiotherapy for early-stage lung tumors, liver metastases, spine metastases, and oligometastatic disease — high-precision doses in a small number of sessions.
Gynecologic Cancers
Definitive and adjuvant radiation for cervical, endometrial, vaginal, and vulvar cancers, coordinated with gynecologic oncology surgery.
Head & Neck Cancers
IMRT and adaptive radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal, laryngeal, oropharyngeal, and oral-cavity tumors, with organ-preservation strategies where possible.
Approach to Patient Care
Prof. Dr. Özyar's philosophy is precision-first: every plan is built on high-resolution imaging, dosimetric optimization, and image-guided delivery so the tumor receives the intended dose while surrounding organs are spared. Complex cases are always reviewed at a multidisciplinary tumor board before treatment begins.
International patients receive a written English-language plan detailing schedule, expected side effects, and the technology being used, along with an interpreter for every clinical touchpoint.
